Health and Nutrition Programme

IRDC Nepal has been delivering integrated health and nutrition services to underserved communities since 1996. Our programmes focus on maternal and child health, reproductive health, immunisation outreach, and combating malnutrition in all 7 provinces.

Key Activities

• Mobile health camps in remote hill and mountain communities
• Community-based nutrition rehabilitation for children under 5
• Maternal and newborn care training for female community health volunteers
• Health awareness campaigns on hygiene, sanitation and disease prevention
• Coordination with provincial health directorates and local governments

Impact

Over 250,000 people have benefited from our health programmes. We have contributed to a significant reduction in stunting rates and improved vaccination coverage in targeted districts.
