Gender Equality and Women Empowerment

Gender equality is both a standalone programme area and a cross-cutting theme across all of IRDC Nepal work. We believe that sustainable development is impossible without the full participation and empowerment of women and girls.

• Girls education and safe school programmes
• Gender-responsive budgeting advocacy with local governments
• Sexual and reproductive health and rights programmes

Impact

Over 20,000 women have been directly engaged in our gender programmes.
